Belfast is overflowing with seasonal festivals and celebrations, which are held throughout the year, especially during the warm summer months.

Popular festivals in Belfast include the following events.

Annual Belfast Festivals


  • March: St. Patrick's Day Parade, taking place on March 17th each year, with a range of celebrations around the city, including carnivals, parties and live music
  • May: Belfast Marathon, one of the city's most popular sporting events, attracting large numbers of runners and crowds of people lining the route

  • October: Festival at Queen's, with a diverse selection of concerts, ranging from classical and folk, to pop and jazz, attracting over 50,000 people each year
  • November: Cinemagic / World Screen Festival for Young People, showcasing a range of international films, together with workshops and awards
